dcxcg group deals with research projects and teaching to promote the social responsibility of Communication Design in the context of Gender Cultures. It intends to give its contribution in the development of critical knowledge and, at pragmatic level, in the design of actions of awareness-raising, information and education for the visual construction of society, contributing to the development of communication design projects for a rethinking of formats and rules of communication.

Research

From the Communication Design perspective, dcxcg deveolps research project in the domain of Gender Cultures.
The research interests include: the issues of gender representation and stereotypes in the media; the system of semantic marks to which design gains; the tools that communication design can put tu use in education; and, more in general, the behaviors of the design area regarding Gender cultures.
It is adopted an approach of phenomenological research and experimental research through the realization of models and formats.

Teaching

The educational activity has seen the organization of workshops dedicated to the design of artifacts to support the actions of denunciation of the observed phenomena and workshops design dedicated to the theme, within which projects have been developed capable of
return, through critical perspectives, state of the art media.
